‘Oh my GOODNESS. We sat down together with a bottle of fizz and put the film on our tv last night. I’ve since lost count of how many times we've watched the video ... and I've blubbed every single time. You've captured the day beautifully. It's gorgeous and magical.’

Every love story is unique, and capturing those special moments is what makes wedding videography so much fun. Last summer, I had the honour of documenting the beautiful union of Imi and Digby at the picturesque Pythouse Kitchen Garden in Hampshire. This enchanting venue served as the perfect backdrop for a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Tucked away in Hampshire, Pythouse Kitchen Garden offers a tranquil setting for weddings, with its food-forest gardens and rustic architecture providing a picturesque backdrop. Dating back to the mid-1800’s Pythouse Kitchen has long championed the ideas of simple, nourishing food and sustainable and regenerative food production.
Emotion
It’s not often that the sister of the bride has the chance to do a speech (shame!), but on this occasion Imi’s sister was given the opportunity; as you can see she did not disappoint! As a wedding videographer, I love it when the family and friends of the couple show their emotions and don’t hold back - emotion is what drives the creative process, so when Imi’s sister began speaking in such a heartfelt manner I knew that it would be perfect for the opening and closing of the film.
Natural Beauty
Despite Pythouse being a public restaurant and working garden, when strolling through its overgrown lanes and greenhouses you feel more like you are in some wild food-forest rather that a commercial enterprise. The variety of the plants and vegetables made for a lovely and unique backdrop for the film; something a little different to the manicured lawns and trimmed hedges of many wedding venues.
Pythouse Kitchen is well on its way to gaining a Michelin-star for the food it produces, so it was no surprise that Digby, a successful chef in his own right got married here. I had high hopes for my supplier meal, but was still blown away by how delicious it was - the fact that most of it was grown and produced on site in the gardens was the icing on the cake!
